Congratulations Caitlin

I'd like to give a big congratulations to Caitlin Morall who recently was given the "First Runner Up" title, at the Miss Wisconsin pagent this past month.  Caitlin had been preparing for this pagent since we opened our doors in July of 2005 and it has been a true joy to share in this journey with her for the past 11 months.

Caitlin, her family, and her entourage purchased her entire pagent wardrobe from our salon and from what I imagine, based on the influx of phone calls we've been receiving since then, her wardrobe was a hit at the pagent.  We were all quite sure she was going to take away the title for Evening Dress, but alas someone else walked away with that.

As she has since the day she walked in here, I imagine she was elegant, poised, and absolutley radiant.  Someday that crown will be hers and we'll be here every step of the way with her again.

Then and Now Fashion Show

What an absolutley GORGEOUS day here in Burlington.  The sun is shining, the doors are open, and the people of this town are out and about.  It's a perfect day for productivity!

Throughout the day, the store remains relatively quiet which is the perfect opportunity for me to get some extra work done.  I've been working really hard the past few months, on creating a one-year anniversary celebration to celebrate our store's one-year success.  I've had a great response so far, and all of my vendors have been super helpful!

One of our big events is a "Then and Now Fashion Show" being held on Friday, July 14th in our Anniversary Tent here at Christy's Bridal.  I had originally planned on using Goodwill Industries as our sponsoring dress vendor for this event, but upon talking to a few people from the company, I quickly found out that their services were booked for the next year!!  I had to come up with a plan B.  My mom and I sat down for a few hours and brainstormed other possible ideas to utilize the space and time for our Friday night event.  We soon decided to continue with the fashion show, but instead enlist local help..the response has been overwhelming!!

Each day I get new phone calls from local women wanting to offer up their stored dresses, to be displayed on our runway.  The idea has been out for less than a week and we've already managed to secure 10 dresses dating as far back as 1930!  With a little more than a month of preparation time for the show, I know that it is going to be a huge success!!  I'm very excited for what the coming months are going to bring.

Our Separates Have Arrived!!

It is no secret that no two female bodies are alike.  There are those of us that are short, and those of us that are tall.  Some of us are well endowed, while others have a little more elsewhere, making up for what their upper half lacks.  We are 100 pounds, and we are large boned, and when you put us all together in your wedding party, it can be a highly difficult task to find a dress that will meet everybody's individual body needs.

Enter, the Impression Bridal separates collection.

Finally, an answer to this worrysome task.  Choose your top, choose your bottom, mix and match with what works for you!  It is the perfect way to add uniformity to your bridal party, without compromising individual comfort levels and body types.  We've had a huge reaction to these already, and we're excited to offer our brides, as well as her bridesmaids, another reason to enjoy shopping and to make this experience as painless as possible.  After all, this is supposed to be the fun part =)
