Prom Show 2007

The prom season has officially arrived!

I can't say that I've been able to see much of it first hand, seeing as how I'm rarely at the store these days, but the stories that Carol tells me and the excitement that I see in the evenings is enough to keep me excited about this time at the store...even if I don't get to partake in much of it.

This weekend however, I was able to to enjoy a bit of the season, as I assisted Christy's Bridal in their 2007 Prom Fashion show that was held at the Elm Grove Woman's club in Elm Grove, Wisconsin.  I always love working the Prom Fashion Shows.  The girls are excited, the dresses are amazing, and just the over all energy is so positive and fun.  I wish it could last all year long!

But alas, the prom season comes and goes so quickly, so it's important to soak it all up while you can.  The annual Prom Fashion show is the perfect way to do just that!  This year, Christy's was assisted by 9 models including the current reigning Miss Teen Wisconsin USA, Shauna Sabir.  The other 8 models came from surrounding High Schools including:  BHS, Catholic Central, Catholic Memorial, Wilmot, Muskego, and Sussex-Hamilton.  I have to say, they all did a FANTASTIC job...I couldn't have asked for a better group of girls to work with this year.

Christy's added a few extra little "attractions" to their show this year, including TWO trunk shows from two of their top prom designers:  Mauri Simone and Flirt by Maggie Sottero.  For this show, the designers sent Christy's their entire Spring 2007 Prom collection, which allowed the attendees of the show the one day opportunity to try on these dresses, before they were sent back to the designers.  It was a well received idea, and I have a feeling we'll be continuing this throughout the years to come.

 

CCHS Prom Fashion Show

HELLO!  I'M BACK!

It's been a very busy weekend here at Christy's, and with the hustle bustle, comes required weekend hours for me.  I can't say that I mind though, I miss the glamour of the bridal industry.

This weekend, Christy's Bridal participated in the 10th annual (our 2nd annual), Catholic Central High School Spring Fashion Show.  It was held at the Cotton Exchange in Waterford, WI and featured fashions from Fashion Bug, Wal*Mart, and Christy's Bridal and Formal Wear.

The show was a success, as it always seems to be, and we created yet again quite the buzz around town regarding our fabulous and unique prom dresses.  (if I do say so myself).

The CCHS Spring Fashion Show is usually our kickstart around here to the Prom season and we only expect things to get much more chaotic from here forward.

I wish I had pictures to share, but alas I was stuck backstage so I don't have anything to show you.  You are more than welcome to stop in yourself and see what the fuss is all about =)
